Wiggle Worms: Healthy Teeth!

The week after Halloween is a great time to talk about healthy teeth..... or more importantly, making teeth brushing a bit more fun for toddlers.

I have a two year old who is (with his fun toothpaste, light-up toothbrush, and lots of fun rhymes) finally gung ho about the process!

Song with Animal Puppets:  "Dingle Dangle Scarecrow"
When all the cows were sleeping
and the sun had gone to bed
Up jumped the scarecrow and this is what he said:
"I'm a dingle dangle scarecrow with a flippy floppy hat
I can shake my hands like this and shake my feet like that!".....

Letter of the Day:  Tt for toothbrush, toothpaste, and teeth

Songs:  Fun songs about brushing your teeth:

"Stick to the Glue" by Jim Gill (Listen here)
"Hands are for Clapping" by Jim Gill (Listen here)
"Brush Your Teeth" by Raffi (Listen here)

The live version of "Brush Your Teeth" is really fun too!  (Watch here)

Book:  Clarabella's Teeth by An Vrombaut.  Clarabella Crocodile misses out on all the fun activities because she spends all day brushing her teeth - and crocodiles have a lot of teeth!

Her friends give her the perfect gift to solve the problem.  We unwrapped the present to reveal Clarabella's new, croc-sized toothbrush.

Flannel / Prop:  The Soup is Boiling Up

The soup is boiling up (bubble fingers)
The soup is boiling up (bubble fingers)
Stir it slow - around we go (stir)
The soup is boiling up! (pop up)

We added some teeth-healthy foods to our soup and kept mixing:
