Firecrackers - Flannel Friday

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!  I hope you enjoy some fireworks, bbqs, and family  =)

This flannel was inspired by Mel's Popcorn flannel.

Five little firecrackers getting ready to zoom (five fingers up)

Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle, sizzle, sizzle (build anticipation by sizzling hands low to high)

BOOM! (clap hands high above head)

4, 3, 2, 1.....

SHOUT OUT to Laura and Gary T for giving me the firecracker flannel idea!

  2. I finally made my own set. Had to tweak it a little. Mine's not quite as festive as yours LOL! Thanks again!

  3. I totally just remade my set with the actual supplies I bought A YEAR AGO and just found. I'll have to post later. I'd love to see yours!

  4. This is really cute, and I'm thinking of using it for Chinese New Year. But I'm confused about how the flannel works with the hand gestures and all. I get, I think, that you start off with all firecrackers, and end up with all explosions/fireworks - but do you quickly grab the explosion flannel from the side and pop it on top of the firecracker after you clap your hands? Or do you have an assistant do it, or?
I could see having a glitter firework on the back of the firecracker...
Thanks! I'm feeling a bit clueless here...

  5. Assistant! I don't think I could pull this off alone with the same effect. As we clap our hands above our heads, the assistant slaps the exploded firecracker over the "candle" looking piece.

  6. Okay! That makes sense then! I was trying to figure out how many hands you have otherwise. Ha!
